CREATIVE PRACTICE - The Creative Practice Explained

The creative practice is how we deliberately approach our creative work. It's our unique way of processing that supports our creative identity while also creating room for expression.

A creative practice is uniquely personal and private.

It’s an internal system that allows the creative to pull forth inspiration.

When learning a new acting role, the actor doesn’t just intimately know the character right away. There is a meticulous process in which the actor engages that enables him to slowly build a relationship with the character they have been tasked to perform.

Any accomplished actor values and understands this intricate process. This principle applies not only to actors but also to all creatives. Every dedicated creative individual knows that to navigate points A to B, there exists a distinct and indispensable devotion to a creative process that must be embraced and respected.

Reading, conversation, environment, culture, heroes, mentors, nature – all are lottery tickets for creativity. Scratch away at them and you’ll find out how big a prize you’ve won.
